Suzano Carrillo Injured in Car Accident in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX -- December 24, 2022, Suzano Carrillo was hospitalized following a car accident which occurred along Gateway South.

Certain details about the crash remain unclear at this time. Authorities said it happened at around 5:00 p.m. along Gateway South Boulevard just off the corner of State Line Drive.

It was said that 78-year-old Suzano Carrillo was a passenger in a car which overturned after colliding with another vehicle which reportedly failed to yield.

Afterward, Carrillo experienced what the news said was a "medical emergency," but it was not specified, and its relation to the crash is unclear at this time. It's also unclear if anyone else was hurt.

I certainly can't know more about this crash without seeing more thorough investigations myself, but I certainly hope experienced professionals are handling things to ensure there's no question about what happened and why.

Frankly, it would surprise folks just how much work goes into simply proving that someone's injuries were the result of the crash. It's a common insurance company tactic to say an older person's condition is due to their age and pre-existing conditions rather than the result of a traumatic car accident.

These claims are obviously a bit too convenient for them, but it's crucial there is evidence to support victims and families as much as possible until they can ensure no one is twisting the facts. Whether or not those steps are being taken here remains to be seen.
