One Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident on Buchanan Street in Amarillo, TX

Amarillo, TX -- December 27, 2022, one person was injured as the result of an accident where their vehicle crashed along Buchanan Street.

Initial reports about the crash said it happened just before 4:30 p.m. along Buchanan Street, apparently between Southeast 8th Avenue and South 9th Avenue. Details surrounding the accident are scarce at this time, saying only that a vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree. Rescue teams extricated one person from the wreckage with injuries of unspecified severity.

While the cause of the crash remains unclear, some folks may be inclined to assume the driver was speeding, intoxicated, or on their phone. Are those factors common? Sure, but they're far from the only factors worth looking into.
