Michael Kennedy Killed, Tyler Clark, Jerry Flores, Michael Galvin Injured in Car Accident in Midland, TX

Midland, TX -- December 21, 2022 Michael Kennedy was killed and Tyler Clark, Jerry Flores, and Michael Galvin were injured in a car accident.

Investigations indicated that the crash happened late Wednesday along Business 20. It appears that a Ford Expedition and a Ford F-150 crashed as one of them attempted to merge and may have failed to yield.

Due to the collision, officials identify 61-year-old Michael Kennedy as a victim that succumbed to fatal injuries due to the crash. Taken to area hospitals were 46-year-old Tyler Clark, 21-year-old Jerry Flores, and 36-year-old Michael Galvin.

Right now, there isn't much more information, if any, that can be confirmed. Clearly it's important there are steps to get those answers, and considering the news tends to forget about anything that happens over the holiday break, I can only hope investigators are more dedicated to getting answers here. Unfortunately, police aren't always able to get those answers on their own.

I've been helping families for decades, and the reality is even car accidents folks may see as "straight-forward" or "simple" can present unique challenges. What if there were mechanical issues? What if someone was intoxicated? What if brake failure or faulty airbags contributed to the crash? What if this stretch of road has issues that the community recognizes which local officials have failed to address?

Likely or not, people were hurt and someone lost their life. Any possible factor is worth attention, and that may require independent investigators that can catch whatever authorities may have let slip through the cracks. The victims and families here deserve nothing less than the full story of what happened.
