According to those details, 36-year-old Delores Roxanna Moore was in Chrysler 300C traveling southbound along the highway. Somehow, her vehicle and a northbound tractor-trailer collided. This then set off a chain reaction involving a Dodge Ram truck pulling a trailer as well as a Ford F-150 and a Chevy Tahoe.
Moore had incapacitating injuries due to the crash, details suggest. A 17-year-old from McCaulley driving the Dodge was said to have incapacitating injuries, as well. Right now, further confirmation requires more thorough investigations.
Commentary on Delores Roxanna Moore Truck Accident in Callahan County
Something I talk about all the time on this blog is the importance of thorough independent investigations. The reason for that is a decades-long career across hundreds of commercial vehicle wrecks which showed me just how much information authorities can miss. It's not necessarily that officers aren't skilled--quite the opposite. It's usually their departments not giving their officers the tools or time needed for something as complex as a truck wreck, let alone one involving five vehicles and serious injuries. That's why I do what I can to shine a light on these challenges so folks understand why it's often more prudent to seek out independent professionals following crashes like this one.
