Alejandro Torres Vazquez, Miguel Cadena Injured in Car Accident in Arlington, TX
Arlington, TX -- December 8, 2022, Alejandro Torres Vazquez and Miguel Cadena were injured due to an accident allegedly involving alcohol.
Authorities were called out to the intersection of East Pioneer Parkway and South Watson Road at around 10:43 p.m.
Initial details said that a Ford F-150 was traveling southbound on Watson. At Pioneer, authorities allege the Ford went through a red light and crashed with a westbound Chevy Cruze.
Injured in the crash were 38-year-old Alejandro Torres Vazquez and 49-year-old Miguel Cadena. Vazquez was said to have incapacitating injuries.
Officials say that the driver of the Ford, unidentified currently, was under the influence of alcohol at the time. This and other details remain unconfirmed.

While I certainly can't confirm anything that did or didn't happen here, any situation possibly involving alcohol is one to take seriously. Part of that means ensuring there are thorough investigations into not only the events surrounding the crash but also the events preceding the crash. What do I mean by that?
Something authorities rarely look into is called dram shop law. Essentially, if a bar serves someone who is obviously intoxicated, and that causes them to go on and cause an accident, the bar can be on the hook for their role in the crash. If authorities just spend all of their time making sure the driver faces charges--justified as that may be--they can miss these important details the victims and families need to know.
