Commentary on Alejandro Torres Vazquez, Miguel Cadena Car Accident in Arlington
While I certainly can't confirm anything that did or didn't happen here, any situation possibly involving alcohol is one to take seriously. Part of that means ensuring there are thorough investigations into not only the events surrounding the crash but also the events preceding the crash. What do I mean by that?

Something authorities rarely look into is called dram shop law. Essentially, if a bar serves someone who is obviously intoxicated, and that causes them to go on and cause an accident, the bar can be on the hook for their role in the crash. If authorities just spend all of their time making sure the driver faces charges--justified as that may be--they can miss these important details the victims and families need to know.
That's why I read about crashes like this wondering whether or not proper steps have been taken to ensure all parties are held appropriately accountable. There could be more to this than what we're seeing right now.
