Two Injured in Car Accident on East Southcross Blvd in San Antonio, TX
San Antonio, TX — December 18, 2022, two people were injured in an auto accident on East Southcross Boulevard on San Antonio's South Side.
Authorities say the incident happened around 1:25 p.m. on the the 1100 block of East Southcross, near Roosevelt Avenue. Preliminary investigation suggests 21-year-old Noah Del Campo was driving a Ford Mustang west, possibly at high speeds, when he allegedly crossed over the center line in a curve and crashed with an oncoming Buick Century. Both vehicles then spun away from the impact.
The Buick's 73-year-old driver was extricated by firefighters and then transported to an area hospital in serious condition. A passenger in the Mustang was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. It's unclear if Del Campo was injured but he was allegedly charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
