Commentary on Zadira Reyes Truck Accident in Elizabeth

It's not unusual for there to be so few details about a deadly commercial truck wreck. I constantly talk about how complex they can be, but folks still tend to believe authorities are going to handle everything. Frankly, that isn't very common. It's not that officers can't do their jobs--quite the contrary. It's the fact departments rarely prioritize this sort of thing, even in the most tragic of situations. Without the right training, equipment, and the time needed for such a serious crash, important details are bound to slip through the cracks.
