Commentary on Single Vehicle Accident on Beechnut in Houston
Single-vehicle wrecks are some of the more challenging ones I deal with. That isn't to say there are often extenuating circumstances--quite the contrary. This sort of thing is usually the result of things like speeding, distraction, or drunk driving. As common as this is though, the real challenge is that people jump to conclusions about those more common factors, and that can lead to them overlooked less common but crucial pieces of evidence. Even the authorities don't always have the patience or experience to ensure victims' families are getting the full story. That's why I try to shed light on just what all can lead to a deadly wreck like this. At the end of the day, it's best to let the evidence speak for itself.
