Commentary on Truck Accident on Highway 52 in Houston County
While it's not clear what exactly happened here, a vehicle being pinned between two trucks is usually a sign the rear truck failed to slow down in time. Even if that were true, though, it's important not to take anything for granted. Commercial vehicle wrecks are challenging enough without two companies doing their parts to muddy the waters and deny responsibility. Victims and families are best served, then, ensuring they have experienced investigators look into the details. In every situation a family has come to me with where it turned out police missed something important, we learned that thanks to more thorough accident reconstructionists. The same could prove true here, as well.
