James “Jaime” Treadwell Injured in Car Accident in Bosque County, TX

Bosque County, TX -- October 16, 2022, James "Jaime" Treadwell sustained fatal injuries as the result of an accident where his car overturned.

Investigators were called to the area of FM 2602 and County Road 3130 at around 9:00 p.m.

Officials said that 45-year-old James "Jaime" Treadwell was in a Toyota Avalon traveling northwest along FM 2602. Due to factors yet to be confirmed, the vehicle lost control and ran off-road. There, the vehicle overturned through a fence.

Due to the crash, Treadwell sustained fatal injuries. No one else appeared to be involved. No further information can be confirmed at this time.

Something that bothers me to no end is how often folks will read details like this--details which ultimately cannot confirm what did or didn't happen here--and just assume the driver did something wrong. Now, I've been doing this for 30 years. It would be ridiculous for me to ignore that the most common factors in single-vehicle wrecks are things like speeding, alcohol, and distracted driving. But it would be outright irresponsible to ignore other possibilities just because they're relatively unlikely.
