Odessa Man Injured in Truck Accident on I-20 in Midland, TX
Midland, TX -- November 7, 2022, an Odessa man was injured due to an accident where a semi-truck crashed into a parked truck on I-20.
Investigators said that the incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. along I-20 near Midkiff Road.
Initial details said that a 68-year-old Odessa man was in a Peterbilt truck traveling eastbound along I-20. Somehow, the vehicle crashed into a wrecker which was parked along the median. This caused the Odessa man's truck to careen across the median.
The Odessa man sustained incapacitating injuries as a result. No one else appeared to be hurt. No further information is available at this time.

Something that isn't entirely clear in these reports is where exactly the wrecker was and if it was clearly visible. If the truck was safely on the shoulder or if there were ample visibility devices such as emergency lights or flares, a reasonably prudent driver should be able to avoid a collision.
