Commentary on Hesperia 3-Vehicle Accident on Mariposa Rd
There isn't much information yet about how exactly this crash happened or what caused it, but given the fatal injuries involved a careful investigation seems in order. To find the whole story police should look into many possible factors: driver mistakes like speeding or distraction perhaps, but also problems or defects in the vehicles, sightlines, road and weather conditions, signage and road markings, and any other potential issues that might have contributed to or caused the wreck.

Until more information is available and the picture is clearer it's best not to jump to conclusions, but the years have taught me that a "by the book" police investigation might not find all the relevant details before it wraps up. If their findings are incomplete or even mistaken, that can obviously cause major problems for people in search of answers or help down the line. That's why after serious accidents--particularly ones involving commercial vehicles--I often suggest independent investigations by experienced professionals to learn the whole story. At the very least the people who lost a loved one here deserve to know no stone was left unturned.
