Two Injured in Truck Accident on SH 29 in Jones County, MS
Jones County, MS — December 5, 2022, two people were injured when a pickup truck collided with an 18-wheeler on State Highway 29 in Jones County.
Authorities say the incident happened early Monday afternoon near the junction of U.S. Highway 84 and MS-29. Preliminary investigation suggests a GMC pickup truck was exiting the ramp onto southbound MS-29 when it somehow collided with a northbound big rig hauling logs.
The GMC driver was ejected during the collision and suffered serious injuries. The log truck driver reportedly received minor injuries and declined medical transport.
