Commentary on Terri Capell O'Neal Truck Accident in Palo Pinto County

There are two points I'd like to make here. One is that I often bring up medical issues as a possibility that people tend to ignore when speculating about the cause of the crash because they're more inclined to just assume the victim was being reckless. As such, I would not at all rule out that possibility here even before it was apparently brought up by the victim's husband. With that said, the second point is that I have concerns about how thorough authorities really were here.

The only thing available in these public details is the basic facts of the crash and the husband apparently saying that medical issues "may have caused" the accident. Did the victim never get to tell their side of the story? Did authorities simply take that possibility and neglect to actually look into other details? For all we know, this was some terrible chain of events the victim couldn't control that authorities are overlooking because they figured there was nothing else to discuss.

I don't have specific reason to believe that's what happened here, but it's far more common than folks would hope. That's why my hope is that there are more answers here than what I'm able to find without more thorough independent investigations. Otherwise, this could be yet another family not getting the help they deserve.
