Commentary on Brodderick Freeney Motorcycle Accident in Coffee City
As straight-forward as this all may seem, I'm always very concerned reading about motorcycle wrecks. Simply put, police can sometimes overlook important details because a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists. They're quick to assume the victim must have been speeding or otherwise reckless and contributed to the crash somehow. That's why evidence is even more important in a crash like this. Independent and unbiased investigators are valuable allies for that very reason. Getting people the help they need is possible in the face of these biases, but it requires having the evidence speak for itself.
