Commentary on Mandi Melinda Hunter Alleged Drunk Driver Accident in Bonham
Obviously details about an allegedly drunk driver are serious, and there will no doubt be consequences for those actions if found to be true. But there could be others who need to be held accountable, as well. After drunk driving wrecks, finding that a local bar was involved could make that establishment liable for their role in the crash. This is due to dram shop law.

Essentially, dram shop law says that an alcohol provider who over-serves an obviously intoxicated person can be liable for damages resulting from that intoxication. Whether that's a bar, liquor store, restaurant, or some other venue, they need to face consequences when their actions harm the community. Dram shop can do this while also getting people much needed help. Were steps ever taken to look into those possibilities here?
