Houston, TX -- October 8, 2022, Darlene Marquez Winkler sustained injuries due to an accident involving a pickup which fled the scene.
Authorities continue their investigations into the incident, which they say happened at around 11:15 p.m. that night in the area of Highway 288 and Almeda Genoa.
It appears that 52-year-old Darlene Marquez Winkler was in an SUV traveling southbound along the highway. Somehow, a pickup struck the SUV, causing it to overturn. That pickup then left the scene.
Authorities said that Winkler had serious injuries due to the crash while three others had non-life-threatening injuries. Police say they're looking for an older model, white or silver Ford F-250 with heavy-duty tires and a spotlight on the tailgate. No further information is available at this time.
