Geneva Wright Injured in Car Accident in Buna, TX

Buna, TX -- November 29, 2022, Geneva Wright was injured as the result of an accident where two vehicles collided.

Initial details given by Texas DPS officials indicated the accident happened at around 11:00 a.m. near the intersection of US 96 and Business 96.

It appears that 51-year-old Geneva Wright was in a Jeep SUV traveling northbound. Police say a pickup failed to yield, causing the Jeep to crash into the side of the pickup.

Due to the collision, Wright had injuries of unspecified severity. Authorities say the pickup driver was cited. Right now, no additional details are available.

A lot of folks think situations like that are about as simple as it gets. Authorities cited someone, so what else is there to talk about? Well, my experience showed me that authorities can sometimes overlook incredibly serious details.

Not long ago, for example, a woman crashed with a semi-truck, but her injuries ended up being far too severe given the relative minor collision. It took further investigations to reveal she had a faulty airbag due to a manufacturing defect. I'm not saying that happened here, of course, but letting something like that slip through the cracks only serves to further harm victims and families.
