Jamil Wilson Killed in Hit-and-run Accident on Marsha Sharp in Lubbock, TX

UPDATE (November 30, 2022): Authorities have identified the victim in the accident as 33-year-old Jamil Wilson. The search for the runaway driver continues at this time.

Lubbock, TX -- November 29, 2022, one person was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident which occurred along Marsha Sharp Freeway.

Investigators said that the crash happened at around 1:12 a.m. along Marsha Sharp near Avenue U. Right now, the exact circumstances are unclear. Authorities said only that an accident occurred which resulted in fatal injuries. A driver involved in the accident then left the scene. Police did not offer a description for the runaway driver. No further information is available at this time.
