Commentary on Angela Theodoseau Truck Accident in White Lake

To be clear, I have no particular reason to doubt any specific information I see in these reports. It's simply that I always take details about crossover wrecks with a grain of salt. My career taught me that authorities don't always have the tools and experience to ensure they can handle such a complex crash.

Not that long ago, for example, we looked into a crash with reports similar to these only for further independent investigations to show that police completely got the facts backwards. They said the victim went over the center line, but evidence showed they only did so to avoid the 18-wheeler which had crossed over first.

This isn't to say that happened here, though it is one possibility of many. The point is that authorities can overlook information that big, so imagine what less-obvious factors they can overlook. Understanding these potential shortcomings can, at the very least, help families ensure they're at least getting all the facts, regardless of what led to the tragic accident.
