Commentary on Sheldon Fitzpatrick Semi-Trailer Accident in Kansas City

Folks tend to overlook rollovers like this because they just assume that the driver must have done something wrong. That's often how things go, but not always. There can be all kinds of unique factors to look into, but even those factors may not be the most important detail to consider. For example, any 18-wheeler rollover can raise concerns of a defective truck. If the truck caves in too easily, it could be a sign the vehicle was built poorly, and the manufacturer could be responsible for making serious what could have otherwise been a relatively minor crash. Maybe that didn't happen here, but it's the sort of thing that usually requires efforts independent of the police to look into thoroughly. I don't see why the events described here would be an exception to that.
