Caleb Rickenbacher Killed, Christina Diaz Injured in Wrong-Way Accident on Cypress Rosehill in Cypress, TX

UPDATE (November 22, 2022): Reports identified the victims in the crash. They were 20-year-old Caleb Rickenbacher and 20-year-old Christina Diaz. Rickenbacher died due to the collision. It appears authorities continue to look for the driver, who they said was in a vehicle stolen from the Holiday Inn Express off TX-99 and Holzwarth. Investigations are ongoing.

Cypress, TX -- November 19, 2022, one person was killed and one person was injured following a wrong-way car accident on Cypress Rosehill.

Initial details say that the crash happened at around 4:00 a.m. at the intersection of Cypress Rosehill Road and Huffmeister Road.

Police believe that the crash happened when a vehicle going the wrong way crashed with another driver. Due to this, one person was killed while another was taken to a hospital. While unconfirmed, authorities say one person may have fled the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
