Commentary on Truck Accident on FM 652 in Loving County

Folks may be quick to cast judgment reading about a crash like this, but it';s important to ensure there are thorough investigations before people start jumping to conclusions. There could be all kinds of unusual factors to consider.

For example, I looked into one crash a while back where police said a woman just made a left turn directly into the path of an 18-wheeler, resulting in her death. Through more thorough investigations, however, the story became a lot more complex than that. It turned out the area was incredibly foggy at the time, and the truck may have been going too fast for those conditions. On top of that, the truck's headlights were very dim due to the covers being dirty.

While I'm not saying anything like that happened here, there are countless examples of stories which seem black and white only for more details to come to light and show the situation to be far more gray. The same could prove true here, but it's going to take more thorough independent accident reconstructions to find out for certain.
