Commentary on Michael Micheletti Truck Accident in Twentynine Palms

People often overlook incidents like this because they just assume the victim made a mistake. Maybe that happened here, but one must always consider even unusual possibilities, such as a mechanical failure. Something may have catastrophically failed while the victim was working.

Overlooking something like that would not only be a disservice to the victim's loved ones but also incredibly dangerous in that it would allow a deadly hazard to persist, possibly risking the lives of others. Were authorities thorough enough to look into that here, or does there need to be more thorough independent investigations?
