Antonio Dejesus Killed in Tractor-trailer Accident on Route 1 in Dover, DE

UPDATE: Sources now identify the driver killed in the crash as 45-year-old Antonio Dejesus. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Dover, DE -- November 10, 2022, one person was killed as the result of an accident where a truck crashed off Route 1.

Investigators said that the crash happened at around 8:30 a.m. along Route 1 near the exit for Scarborough Road.

It appears that a tractor-trailer was moving along the highway when it somehow careened off-road. There, the truck crashed into a tree line.

The unidentified driver was pronounced deceased. The cause of death and the factors leading to the crash remain unclear at this time.
