Commentary on Auto Accident on I-70 in Clark County

Right now there's no real telling what happened here. I hope authorities are hard at work filling in the many, many blanks about this wreck--including who or what may be responsible for it. Unfortunately, I have my misgivings about how much effort they'll put into that. Competing priorities and limited resources mean they sometimes rush through things at the scene and then put a "good enough" explanation in their reports.

That's how critical details slip away, which obviously can be a big problem for victims and families in search of answers and help. Those details can be even more crucial after truck accidents, since trucking companies are notorious for denying responsibility unless indisputable evidence keeps them in line.

I think most would agree that it's best to know the whole (and true) story of any accident. Sometimes police efforts are enough to find it, but they have their shortcomings. It's best to know what investigators should be looking for, so I wrote more on the topic. Click the link below to continue.
