Carlos Luis Johnson Injured in Truck Accident in Moscow, TX

Moscow, TX -- October 24, 2022, Carlos Luis Johnson was injured due to an accident where a truck crashed into Johnson's vehicle.

Initial details said that the incident happened at around 8:15 a.m. along US Highway 59 at FM 62.

Officials say that 41-year-old Carlos Luis Johnson was in a Chevy Equinox traveling westbound on FM 62. Johnson apparently entered the crossover to get onto southbound lanes of US 59. At the same time, police say that a commercial truck got into the southbound left turn lane. The vehicles then collided as they both entered the crossing.

Johnson's injuries were described as incapacitating. No one else was injured. Right now, additional details are unavailable.

With a serious crash like this, a concern I always have is if we're actually getting all sides of the story. When someone is seriously hurt, they're often rushed from the scene before authorities get there. That means they have to follow up with the victims at the hospital later. However, officers can be inexperience or just so swamped that the crash slips through the cracks. The end result is a report that only reflects one side of the story.
