Commentary on Juan Venegas Ipina, Eric Arzola Car Accident in Irving

Police weren't' clear on who they thought may have been intoxicated or who they believe is responsible for the crash. Frankly, even if they seemed confident, I'd take the details with a grain of salt until I saw the evidence for myself.

First of all, any crash involving alcohol would warrant consideration for dram shop law, which could allow the victims and families involved to hold a negligent alcohol provider accountable for over-serving the person responsible for the crash.

But that's only if alcohol was involved. It wouldn't be the first time authorities missed the mark due to inexperience or a lack of attention. Perhaps more thorough independent investigators here could show there's a lot more to this story to bring to light.
