Commentary on Diego Martinez Single-Vehicle Accident in Victoria

There are a few kinds of crashes where I can expect a lot of people to just jump to conclusions without considering the facts. One is single-vehicle wrecks; the other is accidents involving teenagers. With these details, I can't help worrying whether or not the crash is getting the consideration it deserves. Even authorities can be quick to jump to conclusions rather than look into even unlikely circumstances, such as mechanical issues or road hazards, for example.

The reason hundreds of families have come to me for help is because I know how devastating this can be for a family. Losing a loved one at least deserves some benefit of the doubt until all the facts are clear. I don't see why anyone would make an exception just because a driver was young or inexperienced. If anything, that only makes it more crucial to ensure their loved ones are getting the answers they deserve.
