Dallas, TX -- November 7, 2022, one person was killed and another was injured after an accident on Royal Lane, following which three fled.

Authorities said they were called out to the intersection of Royal Lane and Rosser Road at around 11:00 a.m.

It appears that an 82-year-old woman and a teenager were in a Honda Accord at a stop sign. While there, a Toyota Avalon crashed into the Honda. As a result, the woman in the Honda sustained fatal injuries while the teen was said to be in serious condition.

Witnesses said that three people from the Toyota fled the scene on foot. They were described as a teenager and two younger women of unspecified ages. No further information is available at this time.

Commentary on Florence Kristine Kelly Hit-and-run Accident in Dallas

It's just shameful to see lives torn apart only for people involved to flee the scene and shirk their responsibility. With the suspects described as young, it's possible this was just out of panic. It's also possible this was due to more common reasons, such as warrants or alcohol. Of course, it will take finding those individuals to truly get closure for the victims and families.

Florence Kristine Kelly Killed, Teen Injured in Hit-and-run Accident in Dallas, TX

It's not clear if authorities have the suspect vehicle in their possession, which would be a huge help to the investigations. However, simply keeping these details in the public eye can prove vital if someone can connect the dots and come forward. I remain hopeful that justice will be done, and those involved here will have an opportunity to get whatever help they can.
