Commentary on Eric Ford, Robert Graves, Dustin Morrison Truck Accident in Clinton County

When it comes to deadly wrecks like this, my main concern is if authorities will have the necessary experience and equipment to actually get clear details. Folks don't realize how often a crash like this requires independent professionals so that nothing slips through the cracks.

Not long ago, for example, I handled a crossover wreck with similar details to these--at least at first. Once we had independent investigators look into things, it turned out police got the facts completely backwards because they left everything up to an inexperienced officer who had next to no equipment to properly reconstruct the scene.

I'm not saying anything in the news here is wrong, but I simply can't say there isn't more to this story. My goal is to help people see that a crash like this needs to be in the hands of experienced professionals. Maybe authorities here are the right hands, and maybe they're not. Either way, steps should be taken to ensure the victims and families involved are getting the answers they deserve.
