Two Injured in Dump Truck Accident on State Route 63 in Monroe, OH

Monroe, OH -- November 2, 2022, two people were injured due to an accident where a dump truck and multiple other vehicles crashed on SR 63.

Investigators said that the crash happened along the State Route 63 overpass crossing I-75 at around 10:20 a.m.

In a series of events unclear, a dump truck hit a Hyundai along eastbound lanes. The truck then hit the bridge barrier, causing debris to damage vehicles on the interstate.

The truck driver was said to have life-threatening injuries while one person from the Hyundai was said to have minor injuries.

It's not often a crash like this happens where the only person seriously hurt, at least according to public reports, is the truck driver. Experience tells me there's an important factor here the authorities failed to mention.

My concern, though, is that something unusual happened, and that can require investigators far more experienced and better equipped than most police departments.
