Commentary on Car Accident on FM 367 in Wichita Falls

I've found that people are often much too quick to blame single-vehicle crashes on the drivers. "Armchair detectives" are all too glad to theorize about speeding, distraction, or--more cynically--intoxication, but while those factors may be involved in some cases they mustn't be taken for granted.

There are plenty of other possible causes for a wreck like this, from bad road or weather conditions to sudden medical emergencies to vehicle malfunctions or defects, and to learn the whole story all of them must be duly considered. Even if some of them seem less likely than others, they still happen every day all across the world and can't be ignored. It's important to have all the facts before reaching conclusions, and the victim deserves no less. Will police take that kind of care and time here?
