Commentary on Shaketa Rena Ware Car Accident in Tyler

With car accidents, folks think that it's all just about who had the right-of-way, who was on their phone, who was drunk, etc. Those are all important factors, but a proper investigation is going to look into more than that.

For example, a colleague and I were just discussing a recent crash in which a woman was seriously hurt after hitting a truck while texting and driving. Her injuries, however, appeared to be far too serious for the relatively minor collision. As it turned out, the injuries were the result of a faulty airbag. That was something authorities simply wouldn't be able to handle on their own in most cases.

Maybe nothing unusual like that happened here, but I'd be curious to hear whether or not steps were ever taken to ensure nothing like that went unnoticed.
