Commentary on Adan Gomez Car Accident in San Marcos

It's not often that a big truck crashes with a sedan just for the pickup driver to be the one seriously hurt. There could be perfectly reasonable explanations for why that happened, but it's important to know exactly the reason. There could be far more complex issues involved than folks would think.

With modern vehicles, while not perfect, there are plenty of features in place to protect motorists as much as possible. If one of those features fails, and someone gets more seriously hurt than they should, it's possible the manufacturer made a mistake. Is that something authorities ever looked into here? In my experience, it wouldn't be surprising if more thorough investigations showed that something important slipped through the cracks.
