Gia Delancia Killed in Hit-and-run Accident on LBJ Freeway in Dallas, TX

UPDATE (November 30, 2022): Further details identified the woman killed in the collision as 47-year-old Gia Delancia. Authorities say they located the driver that left the scene, but potential charges remain unclear at this time.

Dallas, TX -- October 29, 2022, one person was killed following an accident where two vehicles struck her along the LBJ Freeway.

Investigators said they were called out to the area of the LBJ Freeway and Webb Chapel Road. It appears a woman may have been walking in the roadway when police believe two vehicles struck her, then left the scene. The woman died as a result of the accident. Right now, investigations are ongoing.

With police saying they located the driver involved here, steps can be taken to find out why they left the scene. It may have been simple panic, but it's more often done to hide something specific from police--usually warrants or drunk driving. Since getting a family the help they need can depend heavily on what caused the accident, I wouldn't call this situation resolved by any means until the victim's loved ones know the whole story.
