Commentary on Seth Malone 18-wheeler Accident in Red River County

Just to be clear up front, I don't have any particular reason to doubt these details. But I've learned throughout my career that commercial truck wrecks are almost never simple. One must anticipate both that the evidence could be challenging to look into and also the possibility that the company involved will go to great lengths to avoid responsibility.

That's why independent investigations are so crucial. It isn't that I think all trucking companies are unscrupulous. It's simply that the unscrupulous companies make it necessary to put protections in place as soon as possible to ensure the evidence can speak for itself. Waiting until it's too late can only serve to further harm victims and families. As they say, it's better to be safe than sorry. Teaching the public about these challenges is just one way I can help encourage people to be safe.
