Commentary on Dump Truck Accident on I-20 in Van

It's not unusual for there to be few clear details so soon after an accident, but it's important to change that as soon as possible and learn exactly how and why this wreck occurred. Quite frankly, that may be better entrusted to experienced independent professionals rather than simply waiting for law enforcement to sort the matter out.

I don't mean to insult the hard work police do. As dedicated and skilled as many officers are, though, they're also at the mercy of the time and resources their department can spare. Understaffing, competing priorities, and only so many hours in the day sometimes mean officers can't or don't properly investigate an accident--especially an apparently non-fatal one, which typically falls even lower on their list.

If police find a "good enough" story and move on, important details may slip through the cracks. Click below to learn more about the potential pitfalls of leaving everything to law enforcement.
