Commentary on Kallista Moore Accident in San Antonio

Some may think there can't be that much complexity to an accident like this, but few if any are really as simple as the news makes them sound. For instance, it's important to find out if this one was (or at least should have been) avoidable.

If careful investigation found the driver really couldn't have avoided the pedestrian as she crossed the road, obviously it would be unfair to consider them responsible for the collision. However, if it's learned the driver was doing something that prevented them from reacting appropriately then things might change considerably. I'm certainly not making any accusations, but it seems like there are still many questions about visibility, lighting, sightlines, distraction, speeding, and many others to resolve.

Kallista Moore Killed in San Antonio, TX Pedestrian Accident on Loop 410

I don't know more than what reports say about what happened on Loop 410. I'm only saying that nobody should jump to conclusions before all the facts are in. A full investigation must be conducted to be sure the victim's loved ones receive the answers they deserve. If there's anything to do beyond that, it would likely depend on what those answers are.
