Pedestrian Injured in Truck Accident on I-10 in Baytown, TX

Baytown, TX -- October 13, 2022, a person was injured in , due to an accident where a truck and possibly other vehicles hit them along I-10.

Authorities said that the incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. along the East Freeway in the area of Sjolander Road.

It appears that a 28-year-old man was on the freeway exit ramp at the time. Details say the man was laying in the road due to being "involved in two previous collisions". While there, a semi truck coming off the freeway hit the man.

EMS transported the victim to a hospital with injuries said to be incapacitating. No other details are available, including about the other supposed collisions or anyone who may have been involved.

Baytown, TX Truck Accident Injures Pedestrian on I-10 at Sjolander

These are unusual details, to say the least. If there were prior incidents, were there other drivers involved here? Did they leave the scene? Why was the man on the ramp to begin with? Moreover, where are police getting these details? Are there witnesses that can come forward and clear things up? My concern is that a serious accident like this often leaves victims unable to give statements at the scene, as they need to be rushed to a hospital. Authorities tend to follow up, but not always. Are we getting the victim's side of the story here?
