Commentary on Van/Truck Accident on CA-28 in Placer County

It's not unusual for few details to be available so soon after a major accident like this one, but I'm concerned whether steps will actually be taken to get all those details. Quite frankly, authorities don't always have the resources or time needed to make heads or tails of something as complicated as a commercial vehicle wreck.

For victims and families who need and deserve the whole story, that simply won't do. Not only is it important for closure, but clear facts are necessary to hold the right parties accountable--particularly if they might be employees of a company with the resources and know-how to tip the scales in its favor.

That's why I talk about these serious crashes all the time. I can't say what happened here better than anyone else as investigators are still trying to get the basics, but I know from 30 years of experience just how crucial it is for the right people to hunt down all the facts. Victims and families should always have the right tools and allies to get the answers they deserve.
