Austin Man Injured in Car Accident on Highway 21 in Bastrop County, TX

Bastrop County, TX -- August 20, 2022, an Austin man was injured due to an accident where a vehicle crashed along Highway 21.

Investigators said that the incident happened at around 12:25 a.m. along Highway 21 near the intersection of Electric Avenue.

Authorities said that a 22-year-old Austin man was in a Ford Explorer traveling eastbound along the highway. Approaching a left turn, the vehicle somehow ran off-road and crashed along the median.

The Austin man sustained injuries said to be incapacitating. At this time, the cause of the crash cannot be confirmed.
