Three Injured in Car Accident on Longbranch Road in Ellis County, TX

Ellis County, TX -- August 17, 2022, three people were injured due to an accident where a vehicle crashed off the road.

Investigators said that the incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. along Longbranch Road near the intersection of Spring Branch Road.

Authorities said that three people were in a Volkswagen traveling southbound on Longbranch. For reasons unconfirmed, the vehicle ran off-road and crashed into a tree.

One person in the vehicle was said to have incapacitating injuries while there other two were hurt as well. Police mentioned alcohol as a possible factor, but this has not been confirmed.

It's obviously serious anytime police mention alcohol as a possible factor, but sometimes that's just speculation. A complex thing about single vehicle wrecks is that folks are quick to jump to conclusions, meaning less common possible factors can slip through the cracks.
