One Injured in Car Accident on Crowley Road in Fort Worth, TX

Fort Worth, TX -- March 19, 2022, one person was injured due to an accident where two vehicles collided along Crowley Road.

Initial details said that the accident happened at around 6:10 p.m. along Crowley Road at the Loop 820 service road.

According to officials, 41-year-old Ana Maria Alonso De Gallardo was driving a Chevy Tahoe northbound along Crowley Road. At the service road, it appears a westbound vehicle failed to regard the light and hit De Gallardo's vehicle.

One unidentified passenger in a De Gallardo's vehicle was said to have incapacitating injuries. It's unclear if anyone else was hurt. No further information is available at this time.

It always stands out to me when it seems as though only one person was significantly hurt in a crash. Maybe there were other injuries which authorities failed to mention, but it makes it important to find out why there is this disparity.

While there are several possibilities, one particularly concerning one is that there was a manufacturing defect which caused a safety feature to fail. Seatbelts, airbags, roof integrity, side airbags, seat assemblies, child seats--any of these going wrong can turn a minor crash into a deadly one.
