Commentary on Joe Cantu Pedestrian Accident on Highway 90 in San Antonio

Folks are quick to jump to conclusions in these situations because, frankly, it's usually dangerous for pedestrians to be on the highway. But folks should keep in mind that these details don't say what the victim was doing or where exactly they were. That leaves a lot of room for unusual circumstances, which is worth considering.

I've seen reports like this where someone was dashing across the road. I've seen incidents where they were safely on the shoulder changing a tire. I've even seen cases where a bar illegally over-served someone to the point they didn't know they were walking into traffic. Whatever happened here, the victim's loved ones deserve to know they're getting the whole story.
