Commentary on Eli Garcia, Gary Mclendon Accident near Brownfield

Police said failure to yield is a key factor in this crash; while I have no specific reason to argue with that, I also can't help but wonder if they looked at other possible issues as well. Many crashes really aren't as straightforward in a few sentences from new or police make them sound, and for the sake of everyone involved it's always best to consider whether anything else played a part. Bad traction on water or debris, vehicle failures or defects, blown tires, bad weather...these and many other factors should be evaluated in case there's more to the story. Will police take the time and care to do so?
