Commentary on Pedestrian, Truck Accident on Belknap Road in Houston

News footage of this incident appears to show the location as some sort of junkyard or work area. It makes me wonder if this accident is somehow work-related. That can make things inciredibly complex if the people involved were co-workers, since a company may have workers' comp protecting them. This may not apply, however, if this was the result of gross negligence or if the people involved worked for different businesses.

If this wasn't a work incident, though, then there would need to be serious consideration for where the pedestrian was, why they were there, and whether or not a reasonably prudent driver would have been able to see and avoid them. It's not unusual there are so few details available right now, but it's generally best to ensure there are more thorough investigations from experienced professionals.
