This is due to dram shop law. Basically, the law says that an alcohol provider who over-serves an obviously intoxicated person can be liable for damages resulting from that intoxication. Bars, liquor stores, restaurants, and even gas stations have these rules to follow. By confronting them, victims and families can get the help they need while also ensuring those businesses clean up their act before more people get hurt. Are those steps being taken here?
