Antoinette Flores Injured in Rollover Crash on 50th Street in Lubbock, TX

Lubbock, TX — October 16, 2022, 35-year-old Antoinette Flores was critically injured in a rollover accident on 50th Street in West Lubbock.

Authorities say the incident happened shortly before 4:00 a.m. at 50th Street and Upland Avenue. Preliminary investigation suggests Flores was driving west on 50th when she lost control for unknown reasons. The vehicle ran off the south side of the road, then rolled over one or more times before it came to rest in a nearby field.

Flores suffered life-threatening injuries in the wreck and was taken to a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information is currently available.

When a wreck like this happens in the early morning, many folks will likely jump to certain conclusions about its cause. Driver mistakes like impairment, fatigue, and distraction are often pointed at by people eager to find a simple explanation for a serious event--even if that explanation unfairly blames the victim.
