Florencio Rodriguez, Janet Kennedy, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Lufkin, TX

Lufkin, TX -- April 28, 2022, Florencio Rodriguez, Janet Kennedy, and another person were injured due to an accident where two cars crashed.

Investigators said that the accident happened at around 6:30 a.m. along First Street at Southwood Drive.

Officials said that 60-year-old Florencio Rodriguez was in a Honda Civic traveling northbound on the roadway. 60-year-old Janet Darlene Kennedy was in a Ford Taurus traveling southbound. When Rodriguez turned, Kennedy's vehicle crashed into Rodriguez's vehicle.

Due to the crash, Rodriguez sustained incapacitating injuries. Kennedy and a passenger had injuries said to be non-incapacitating. Right now, additional details are unavailable.
